POEM COUNTER-POEM

1.    Oh These Elder Brothers

What they think of themselves ?
If they are big, they can beat us
and make us slaves?
But we are also human-beings,
we will not tolerate it & will fight.
What causes fight?
Between me & my brother !

We have both our own cycles
But often he takes mine
Without asking me and
Keeps it back unlocked.
When I tell him to lock it,
He says, 'It is your cycle lock it'
And purposely,
Discriminating against my cycle.

If any day ,
he is in bad mood,
or has got scolding,
he takes his anger,
on me by throwing my things.

If he is searching his books
or anything
he will make my book-rack
untidy purposely and;
will never clean it.

But as he is a good fellow
I still love him.
He has a good point,
he helps me
in my work , sometimes!
On the days near my birthday.

I love him even more
Afterall he is goingto share
secrets only with me.
These secrets are kept
away from our PARENTS.

2.        Oh These Younger Brothers

Oh ! these pestering pests,
these bothering brats,
these non-stop nonsense (rs)
these brain eaters,
these peace terminators,
these merciless blackmailers
of the world's most unique spitfires.

Poking their not-needed nose,
Passing their unwanted comments,
Giving their unwanted advices,
Enacting their often repeated,
EMOTIONAL acts,
To sum it all,Troubling their unfortunate and unlucky
elder brothers.

They hit you,
Well , it was as gentle
as a feather touch.
You touch them !
You are a big brute !

When they complain,
They beat hollow,
the Hoffmans , Sugar Rays,
and the Moores.
and the more indigenous variety
the Bachchans , Kapoors and Khans,
one half of face towards parents,
with a tearful eye,
And half towards us,
with a sneering mouth and winking eye.

Thank God !
But the picture is not that grim.
They follow us,
Share our secrets.
Both together
we form the combined opposition
to the treasury benches
ie. the PARENTS.
